Empowering students – the next generation of leaders – to defend life and dignity!

Every life is sacred and needs to be defended from conception to natural death.
Every person has intrinsic dignity given to them by God.

Students innately understand these truths of our Catholic faith. They are eager to make a difference in the world, but they don’t always know where or how to begin. It can seem intimidating to share these truths, their ideas, and their passion with their elected leaders – the adults that can help make their ideas for change a reality.

The Minnesota Catholic Conference is here to help teachers and parents equip their students with the tools they need to advocate for life and dignity.

By watching Lessons in Advocacy: Students Standing for Life and Dignity, students will learn:

  • Why Catholic students’ voices matter
  • What the Church teaches about defending the life and dignity of every person
  • How their ideas can become laws
  • How to stand up for life and dignity by effectively interacting with legislators

During the webinar, students will get to hear from and pray with Bishop Andrew Cozzens, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.

The webinar is designed for students ages 12-18.

**Because of recent concerns over meeting security, MCC staff took the following measures: attendees’ cameras and microphones were turned off and therefore not seen or heard by other attendees. Attendees’ comments/questions were only visible to MCC staff who then moderated the Q &A. Students only saw and heard from our staff, one of Minnesota’s bishops, and a state legislator.
