Workforce Development

It is good for man to work. But with a changing economy, finding suitable work can be a difficult task for some. Too often, educational programs do not match needed skill sets in the labor market, and adults who would otherwise be working find themselves unemployable.

MCC is supportive of policy efforts to put those in need of work in a place to succeed. Smart workforce development programs ennoble human dignity by providing more opportunities for more people to use their God-given talents and abilities in support of their families and community. Attention is especially needed for traditional “blue collar” jobs that are no longer emphasized in our society, but still provide meaningful work and income opportunities.
