Abril 18, 2016 @ 8:00 soy - 5:00 PM

Los defensores de la reforma de inmigración Minnesota celebrará una conferencia de prensa el lunes 18 para discutir los alegatos orales escuchados frente a la Corte Suprema de los Estados en el DACA y DAPA, en United States v. Texas, and the need for continued action for immigration reform.

“We want less politics and rhetoric and more understanding for our families and contributions to the country as immigrants,” says Pablo Tapia, a co-founder of Asamblea and chair of Gamaliel’s national Civil Rights of Immigrants task force. “A ruling against DAPA won’t just impact immigrant families; it’ll impact all families.”

Speakers will include John Keller, Executive Director of the Immigrant Law Center, y Jason Adkins, Director Ejecutivo de la Conferencia Católica de Minnesota. Leaders of Minnesota-based La Asamblea de Derechos Civiles (“Asamblea”) will also be speaking. Speakers will be discussing the legal, espiritual, and communal ramifications of the Supreme Court decision which is expected later this year.

Also on the 18th, 80 leaders from Minnesota’s Asamblea will rally in front of the Supreme Court drawing attention to the urgent need for action on immigration justice. They will be joining the national Gamaliel network for a day of actions and rallies.
