The Catholic Spirit: Jason Adkins elected president of National Association of State Catholic Conference Directors
Jason Adkins, executive director and general counsel of the Minnesota Catholic Conference (MCC), was elected president of the National Association of State Catholic Conference Directors (NASCCD) July 20.
The MCC is the public policy voice of the Catholic Church in Minnesota, and the NASCCD is an association of executive directors of 40 state Catholic conferences. Members of the national association meet twice a year to discuss public policy challenges and opportunities in local Churches across the country. NASCCD members also strategize ways to make the Church’s voice effective in the public arena.
“The NASCCD is a special group of people who are not just colleagues but also treasured friends. I am honored that that they have chosen me to serve in this role and lead the coordination of the group’s activities and put together our invaluable meetings,” Adkins said in a news release.
Adkins has been the MCC’s executive director since 2011. He will serve as president of the NASCCD until August 2028.
